What are the clinic's hours? The clinic is open Monday through Thursday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM and on Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM. On Tuesday and Thursday evenings, there are evening clinics from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Registration closes two hours before the stated closing time. Where is the clinic located? The clinic is located at 2918 Portage St., just north of the intersection of Cork St., Portage St., and Lover's Ln. in Kalamazoo, MI. For a map and directions, please see the Contact Us page. I currently have health insurance through my employer. Can I still be seen at the Free Clinic? No. The clinic's services are only available to individuals with no form of health insurance. I currently have Medicaid/Medicare insurance. Can I still be seen at the Free Clinic? No. The clinic's services are only available to individuals with no form of health insurance. We do, however, assist patients who have Medicaid spend-down. How much do the clinic's services cost? Nothing. All services at the clinic are provided completely free of charge, therefore the clinic is always in need of donations. Does the clinic offer physicals? Not at this time. The clinic's current services include treatment of minor and acute illness. Please see the Our Services page for more information. What ages can be seen at the clinic? Individuals must be at least 18 years old to be seen at the Free Clinic. I am taking a long-term prescription. What assistance is available through the clinic? The Free Clinic has a Prescription Assistance Program to help individuals who cannot afford their medications. Note: The clinic does not distribute any narcotics or controlled substances and therefore has none on the premises. |
