Patient Eligibility The Free Clinic of Kalamazoo serves adults between the ages of 18 and 64 who live in Kalamazoo County and are uninsured. Each patient's financial history is reviewed for eligibility and each patient is given individual consideration. The clinic is unable to see patients with Medicaid or Medicare or those who have been seen at the Family Health Center within the past year.
Walk-In Clinics Our daily walk-in clinics offer diagnosis and treatment of minor and acute illness as well as dental screenings on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Clients are referred to appropriate services in the community if necessary at little or no cost. Patients may be seen during the following times:
Monday and Wednesday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM Registration until 3:00 PM
Tuesday and Thursday 8:30 AM - 9:00 PM Registration until 7:00 PM
Advocacy and Education
Our Staff also counsels patients about health concerns, management of chronic illness, the importance of primary care physicians, early detection and screening, mental health and available community resources (both medical and social).
Prescription Assistance Program (PAP)
The Prescription Assistance Program offers assistance with long-term medications for patients with chronic illnesses or ailments who can not afford their medications. Call (269) 344-0044 for more information.
